Hope Street Family Center promotes the health and welfare of our community's children and families through a variety of co-located federal, state, private and locally funded initiatives. These initiatives include early childhood education, school readiness, family literacy, behavioral health, primary health care, after school and academic enrichment, and other family support programs. On an annual basis, the Hope Street Family Center serves over 2,000 low-income children and families. Services are described below.
Provides outpatient mental health screening, diagnosis and treatment for children 0–21 years old and their families
Provides healthcare, childcare and social work professionals training and practical learning experience in early identification and treatment of behavioral health issues affecting infants and toddlers
Training of behavioral health practitioners by partnering with local universities and colleges
Help to fill our community’s urgent need for quality childcare services with a strong developmental focus
Offers child development and family support services to families with children 0–3 in order for parents to support and encourage their children’s early growth, development and school readiness
Offers developmentally enriched childcare for infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children in all 11 centers trained by Hope Street
Supports parents in their role as their child’s first teacher by providing parents with literacy training and children with early development skill building, including language skills
Focus on strengthening parenting skills and family relationships
Offers an integrated, comprehensive approach to strengthen and preserve families impacted by child abuse and neglect
Improves the health and social functioning of low-income mothers and their children
Prepares children and their families for successful entrance into kindergarten through full-day, center-based early childhood education and family support services
Offers homework assistance, individualized mentoring and tutoring, educational support, and recreational opportunities for school-aged youth
