Early Head Start Annual Report
Hope Street Early Head Start Program provides full-year home, center-based, and combination option Early Head Start services for low-income pregnant women and families with young children, 0-3 years of age. The availability of a continuum of program options is responsive to the varied needs of the young families who reside within our community. Enrollment priorities include children with special needs, children in foster care, homeless families, teen parents, and non-English speaking parents. Working in partnership with families - our multidisciplinary team of teachers, home visitors, social workers, nurses, and psychologists - strives to enhance children’s development and the quality of life for families, while ensuring access to a comprehensive network of services, many of which are located on or adjacent to the CHMC campus.
Opportunities for parent involvement include parent volunteers within the EHS program and hospital; parent-child socialization activities; parenting classes; healthy marriage and relationship workshops; fatherhood classes and father support groups; and the Parent Committee and Policy Council.
Hope Street Family Center annually conducts a self-assessment of its programs. For Program Information Report (PIR) data, please review our 2011 EHS Annual Report. For previous PIR data, review our 2010 EHS Annual Report, 2009 EHS Annual Report and the 2008 EHS Annual Report.
